#TawaDiReels a means of fertilizing the talents of Indonesian comedians

On June 24, the Instagram platform launched #TawaDiReels as a means to present new comedian faces in Indonesia and help them reach a larger target audience through the Reels feature.

Content creators are currently one of the focuses of the Chief Executive Officer of Meta, Instagram's parent company, Mark Zuckerberg. It is known that Mark will invest more than $1 billion in creators around the world, as a token of appreciation and to build Instagram into the best platform for creators.

In its launch, Instagram will collaborate with SUCI, a comedian from Indonesia and also Kompas TV.

Why Reels? Revie Sylviana, Director of Entertainment Content Partnerships for Meta in Indonesia explained, "Reels has become a favorite place for Indonesians to find creative, original, and entertaining content."

According to Revie, since its launch in Indonesia last year, Reels has become a tool that encourages the birth of a new face of young comedians who are good at using short video formats on Instagram to display stomach-churning content that is close to the daily lives of Indonesian people.

In addition, the presence of the pandemic has also forced comedians who have been acting in the real world to move to the virtual world.

SUCI is one of the comedians who managed to survive for the last decade. SUCI's presence is expected to be able to summon new comedians who are spread all over Indonesia.

Furthermore, #TawaDiReels is a kind of intensive training program in terms of comedy with SUCI and also tips for learning Reels features and building engagement straight from the Instagram Content Partnership team.

Everyone can join this program. Those who wish to participate can take part in the virtual audition which is still ongoing until July 20 by uploading a video with a maximum duration of 90 seconds on their personal Instagram account. Make sure your account is unlocked.

10 participants with the funniest content will win prizes worth a total of 30 million rupiah and the best 3 participants will be flown to Jakarta to take part in the main audition at the end of July 2022.
