Musik Bagus in collaboration with Meteor releases NFT collection with Glenn Fredly illustration as its theme

Musik Bagus in collaboration with digital asset marketplace Meteor on 22 February released a NFT collection with Glenn Fredly illustration as its theme. Musik Bagus is the record label owned by late Glenn Fredly.

Under this collection, Musik Bagus releases three different versions namely common, epic and legendary. There were 222 NFTs under the common version which are priced at 0.025 ETH each as well as 22 NFTs under the epic version and 2 NFTs under the legendary version which are priced at 0.07 ETH and 0.025 ETH, respectively.

According to Musik Bagus Director Aldisyah Latuihamallo, the NFT was designed by Safta Gunadi who served as the graphic designer and handled the whole production process. It is also supported by a sophisticated system provided by Meteor that develops the digital assets governance and creates a designated NFT marketplace on the official Musik Bagus Indonesia website.

Aldisyah stated that Musik Bagus has realised and hence understands the importance of regeneration among musicians and artists. Therefore, in doing so, the label decided to launch the new initiative through NFT projects, which is hoped to help musicians increase their royalties.

The presence of musicians’ NFTs is also expected to help them build a new fan base while reaching a wider audience in the international arena. This will increase competition amongst themselves and will eventually help improve the music ecosystem.

“We are also very open to any other artist who would like to turn their works into NFTs, as Musik Bagus will become the centre of NFT music in Indonesia,” Aldisyah said in an official statement.

Responding to the declining global crypto and NFT market situation, Musik Bagus remains optimistic that in the future, the conditions will improve. According to Aldisyah, this can be used as a lesson to provide the best service.

“Our big hope is to make Musik Bagus NFT one of the pioneers of NFT specifically for Indonesian music, and to become a partner and home for artists, especially in Indonesia, who deserve to be fought for,” he stated.
