Erza Setyadharma passed away yesterday (6/1) in Jakarta at the age of 40. The cause of death has not been announced yet.

He was best known as the founder of the Indonesia Opera Society which was established in 2006. The venture was quite a detour from his educational background of chemical engineering. In recent years, he was actively working as a creative consultant for Indonesia Design Magazine and has authored several books including ‘Menagerie 7: People Like Us’ which was published in 2011.

Erza was an ambassador of Iwan Tirta’s Private Collection from 2016 onwards. He also served as one of the judges for Iron Chef TV Show on RCTI in 2017. Erza was also one of the official keynote speakers for the Proud Experiences 2018 event in London, United Kingdom. May his soul rest in peace and his creative spirit live on.
